Who will have the last laugh?

So Batman Begins is barely out of the gate, and, naturally, speculation is running wild about the next one. Reportedly, the sequal will introduce both The Joker and Harvey Dent, who will then become Two-Face in the third film. Liev Schreiber’s name is heard over and over again for Harvey, but the casting of The Joker is where all the interesting speculation is. I’ve heard Crispin Glover, Paul Bettany, and, now, Sean Penn. Personally, I think Paul Bettany would make an inspired choice. I loved him in “A Knight’s Tale,” and if you haven’t seen that, maybe you saw him in “A Beautiful Mind.” We’ll probably hear lots of names between now and when this gets going, but my vote, so far, is for Bettany.
